 Wooden Footwear
A strong, durable, protective and comfortable shoe, the wooden clog has proven its core values over the centuries. Two blocks of wood and a skilled craftsman is what it takes to make a well-fitting, inexpensive and very useful pair of shoes. Clogs have barely changed over the centuries, which proves their steadiness and simple quality. My goal was to keep the clogs original properties and characteristics, while modernising the shape. It is by wearing them that I realised no drastic changes had to be considered. In collaboration with the Traa Klompenfabriek in Liempde, Netherlands.
